Mahren, Fallon, Kaden and their Mommies!

You've seen these babies before!  Mahren, Fallon, and Kaden are just about the same age (six months) and their Mommies decided it would be fun to take their pictures together this time!  Kaden was just on the blog a few posts ago, but he joined in on the fun again with his two favorite ladies.  He even sported a nice suit for the event!  The girls wore some cute hats and then we headed outside for some shots around the neighborhood.  We all agreed it will be great look back on these shots when the three of them are teenagers! 

Claire, Emma, Molly...and Family!

First off I wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving!  I'll actually be out of my office for the rest of the week now, as my husband and I are traveling to Fargo to spend the holidays with family and I am also shooting a wedding of friends of ours on Friday.  I finished up a load of sessions tonight though, so some of you may be receiving your online galleries before the sneak peeks!  That's mostly because I know everyone is anxious for Christmas cards!  I'll resume normal blogging on Monday.

You might recognize Claire and Emma from this session with their grandparents on Mom's side about a month ago; now it was time for a session with their other cousin, Molly (who is also a frequent baby on the blog!) and their grandparents on Dad's side.  It was fun to see all the kids again and we had some fun with their Christmas outfits!

 

Isaac and Trevor

The last time I saw Isaac he was only a few weeks old...this time baby brother Trevor joined the family and I'm now photographing him at only a few weeks old!  It was so fun to see how much Isaac has grown, and although it took awhile for him to warm up to me, eventually he gave me some BIG smiles!  He also stopped for a moment to read a book to his brother on the floor.  So, so cute!

Sydney

Little Miss Sydney is already a year old!  You may recognize her from a session we had earlier this year in the springtime.  This time it was much colder so we only stole a few moments outside before heading back to the warm indoors.  However, Sydney's doggie friends definitely wanted to follow her as they watched from the outdoor deck looking in.  They sure can jump HIGH!

Afton, Nine Months

Afton has reached one of my favorite ages to photograph...nine months old and full of personality and funny faces!   Also, since she's still too little to walk, it's easier to put her in one place and she stays in one place for the most part.  I know it's not long before she's running around like crazy... she's already looking older, with lots more hair than our last session together.  And once again, Afton is modeling a new fun pair of shoes--her baby Uggs!  I think she could definitely be a model for the company!       

 

Kaden, Six Months

Six months have flown by since I last photographed this little guy.  I can hardly believe it--Kaden is so much bigger and sitting up all on his own and flashing TONS of huge grins at the camera.  He was all ready for Christmas with a fun Santa hat and a striped outfit that Dad said made him look like a candy cane!  We had a great time and even ran outside for a few shots.  It's getting to be that time of year again when it's SO COLD that the outside pictures have to be quick.  Luckily Kaden was ready to smile!

 

Simon, Elsa, and Oliver

I can't believe these adorable triplets are THREE!  It seems like yesterday I was visiting them in the NICU taking their very first professional photos (before this blog even existed!)  It's been about a year since their last session with me.  This time we ventured out to my parents farm to see the horses!  Unfortunately it was absolutely FREEZING and windy outside, but you can barely tell since they were so happy and excited to see the horses and run around.  Well, the boys were happy at least!  Elsa preferred to stay a little further back, and then warmed up in the car with Mom while Simon and Oliver went for a ride.   We had a lot of fun!

 

Kael, Paxton, and Beni in Mesa, Arizona

This trip to Arizona was short and sweet, and I had just enough time to fit in one of my favorite families from my trip last April!  You may notice something different, though....there's a new baby in the pictures!  Little Beni was born in August so it was a lot of fun to finally meet her.  She fits in with her big brothers Kael and Paxton quite well, and sat so nice and still for pictures in Grandma and Grandpa's desert backyard in Mesa.   It was another gorgeous day, of course.  Gotta love that Arizona light!

 

Jason and Mya in Paradise Valley, Arizona - 11.14.08

My last destination wedding for the year was absolutely amazing!  Everything took place at the Sanctuary Camelback Mountain Resort which was yet another photographer's dream with all the breathtaking backdrops within walking distance around the grounds.  We even got a quick golf cart ride up the mountain to one of the homes with an incredible view!  And I know I talk about the weather all the time but it was perfect--mid 80s and just a slight breeze.  Jason and Mya were a blast to photograph and were open to all my ideas, even posing patiently as I experimented with lighting a special shot near the pool at sunset.  I was so excited how it turned out!

From the Ocean to the Desert

It's certainly been a busy year of travel, and I have all my wonderful clients to thank for that!  I'm still amazed that this will be my FIFTH destination wedding for the year.  It seems like I just returned from my Florida trip, (I kind of did--just last week!) and now I'm on the opposite side of the country in gorgeous Arizona, and will be here until Saturday and back in my office on Monday.  Again, I had a day to explore because the wedding is tomorrow, so of course I had to grab my camera and head out to the desert.  The weather this time of year is absolutely perfect...it's probably in the mid 70s and breezy.  A fantastic day to go for a walk! 

Mason, Ganon, Theron, and Raegon

Again, it's hard to believe it's almost been a year since I saw this family!  This time around we had a more fall background, capturing the very last bits of the season before the snow moves in.  We headed out to their farm where there were plenty of neat spots to shoot, including a corn field, a HUGE backhoe, and a fun old turquoise truck!   The weather was also fabulous on this day!

Olivia, Drew, and Greta

Follow the Yellow Brick Road!  These three had the most adorable Halloween costumes, and we also had a great place to take pictures at their cabin, complete with trails and a big red barn!  The weather was incredibly gorgeous too, with temperatures in the high 60s.  Very similar to our session weather this past spring, too! For late October we definitely lucked out!

 

Reece

Can you guess what Reece was for Halloween?  I shot his session one day before the BIG day, so he was all ready to dress up and get a few fun shots playing football!  He also had his cool four wheeler and showed me how he drove it around the yard and stopped to do a few poses standing up on the seat.  And of course to match one of my most favorite shots from last year of his dad tossing him high in the air, we did it once again... he really knows how to fly!

 

Toby and Kiana

Toby and Kiana (along with Mom) were visiting at their Grandma and Grandpa's house this past week.  The weather was nice, so it was the perfect time for a photo session!  The kids had fun playing in the backyard and exploring the trails in the woods, although I think Toby had more fun exploring than taking pictures, as most kids that age do!  I'm sure their parents are they're told ALL the time what beautiful eyes the children have--it must come from their Grandpa, who just happens to be my optometrist! 

Brayden, Sophie and Sadie

They're another year older!  I hung out with these three last fall for a downtown session; this time we went more rural!  We headed to a nearby farm with some great old buildings and trails in the woods.  Their Mom even brought some of her antique camera collection which worked GREAT for this first shot!  I love how they look like the paparazzi and I'm the one getting photographed.  Too funny! 

 

Halley

Okay--back to my regularly scheduled blogging!  Lots of pictures to share!  Next up, a beautiful newborn.  Halley was wide awake for her session no matter how hard we tried to get her to sleep, but as I always say that is okay too.  She has such pretty sparkling eyes that it was good to see them open!  Halley's nursery was absolutely adorable and we had great weather so we also took some shots outdoors in the backyard.  Grandma was visiting so she joined in on a few pictures, too.  I just love capturing generations together! 

Michael and Jill in Fort Lauderdale, Florida - 11.2.08

Wow, what an incredible weekend!  I'm "sneaking in" this sneak peek right away because I've got a four hour layover at the airport on my way home and I have all their pictures on my laptop just begging to be shared!  I had an incredible time at this wedding.  Both Jill and Mike and their families welcomed me instantly and I felt right at home.  The weather was gorgeous and I was absolutely thrilled to be shooting at the historic Bonnet House Museum and Gardens.  With loads of lush gardens and palm trees and colorful archways and doors I was definitely in photographer's paradise--literally!  Jill and I have actually "known" each other online by reading each other's blogs for a few years now so it was so fun to finally meet her.  There were some other blogging girls there so we snapped a group picture at the end--myself included.  I had such a hard time narrowing these shots down for the sneak peek so there are a LOT.  Also, this was my first Jewish wedding and I had SO much fun!  My favorite part was when they got lifted up on the chairs at the reception!

 

 

Sneak Peek From Florida!

The wedding is tomorrow but I spent today exploring Fort Lauderdale and Boca Raton, and what better place to go than the beach!  The ocean is only five minutes from my hotel, and I could have spent all day here just listening to the waves crash on the shore.  I also purchased a new camera that I've had my eye on for quite awhile--the Nikon D700!  It was in the store so I got to play with it first, and it was on sale.  How could I say no!?  I mean, just check out these amazing shots I took with it today!
