About Me

I finally made my photography hobby an official business in the summer of 2005. Since then I've realized how much I enjoy what I do and I am so happy to be able to share my work with others and capture memories of "real life" for people every day. Being my own boss is a dream come true and I truly believe I am doing what I am supposed to in life. Taking pictures!

My style is simple and straightforward. I love capturing real life, but I'm not afraid to take posed pictures either. I just make people hug in real tight and show that they love each other! I'm a sucker for the rule of thirds, fabulous colors, prime lenses, and cute camera bags. I tend to stay away from over-processing or doing funky edits to my pictures that take away from my original vision--the photograph itself, and prefer an image that looks as real as can be. I am highly technical and picky about my images and am always striving for a sharp, well-exposed shot. All of this means that I only put the best out there for my clients and they are the ones who benefit from it!

As for me, I'm currently 27 years old, and have been married my sweetheart since December 2006. We settled down in the little town where I grew up and I absolutely love it here. I am able to work at home but I travel all over the country taking pictures--a perfect balance! My husband is a custom harvester and travels throughout the Midwest in the summers and I often join him when I can.
